About
The purposes of the sangamam is preserve and promote the rich heritage of the tamil-speaking population of Slough, and to softer understanding, friendship, goodwill and appreciation between tamil-speaking people and various cross-section of the people of Slough. Tamil is one of the oldest languages in the world with literature dating back 100 BC, spoke by more than 60 million people in Tamil Nadu, a state located in the southern region of India.
A many of us are away from our home state, in order to provide opportunities for learning Tamil , especially for our Children , we had started the Tamil classes as a service on behalf of our STS Tamil Sangamam last year with the objective of giving them training for reading and writing and also speaking well in our mother tongue Tamil. To promote Tamil Culture and friendship by organizing various cultural events Social activities. Cultivate and propagate the Tamil socio-cultural values, ethics and heritage. Cultivate and propagate Tamil Philosophy, Culture, History and heritage amongst the expatriate Tamil community resident.
Our Vision
The objective of Slough Tamil Sangamam is to to form a grass roots organization, to preserve and nurture our tradition and values for the future generation.
Educate culture and heritage to the younger generation, to serve without political affinity and irrespective of caste or creed.
